About

a physician in your corner —before something breaks.

Breaux Medical is a physician-led longevity and performance practice focused on prevention and chronic disease optimization to feel better and maximize your healthy years. Below are the questions people ask most, answered plainly.

This is not primary care. Please maintain a primary care physician for acute illness and insurance-based services.

01

what is breaux medical?

Breaux Medical is a physician-led longevity and performance practice founded by Dr. Barry Breaux. It exists for people who know something needs to change with their health approach but don't know where to start. They need a physician who knows them to help them read the whole picture and act strategically in the context of their busy lives.

The work is establishing context—motivation, risk, reality, readiness for change—to inform your strategic and adaptive health plan. Think wealth management for health, your greatest asset. Visits are delivered by telemedicine to patients in California and New York. More states will be added soon.

02

is this direct primary care or concierge medicine?

No. Breaux Medical is not direct primary care nor concierge primary care. It works alongside the traditional system to provide a more proactive and relational approach on the strategy and implementation side of health.

It is a separate layer of physician attention focused on trajectory: what is changing in your health, why it matters, and what to do about it in your unique context.

03

do i still need a primary care physician?

Yes. Please maintain a primary care physician for acute illness, routine preventive screenings, and insurance-based services.

Breaux Medical works alongside that relationship rather than replacing it.

04

can dr. breaux diagnose, prescribe, order labs, and refer?

Yes. Dr. Breaux is a board-certified physician. Within the health management relationship he can diagnose, prescribe, order labs and imaging, and refer to specialists when clinically appropriate. He prefers to own the management of as much of your healthcare as possible within his scope of practice.

These physician services are not billed to insurance; however, tests, prescriptions, and specialty visits certainly can be. Program and membership fees are direct, and HSA/FSA funds may apply.

06

how do you work with people?

There are two primary ways to work together, after a complimentary discovery call and a $500 Initial Health Assessment:

  1. 12-Week Programs — focused, physician-guided programs for a defined health priority or to establish a clear starting point. Clinical focuses: Longevity Baseline, Metabolic Mastery, and Hormone Optimization. Tiers: Core ($1,500, Guidance), Complete ($3,000, Guidance + Measurement + Clinical Care), and Concierge ($6,000, Guidance + Measurement + Clinical Care + Access).
  2. Annual Health Management — an ongoing annual physician partnership for continuous monitoring, interpretation, clinical management, and adaptation of your health strategy over time. $8,000/year.

The $500 Initial Health Assessment fee is fully credited toward any 12-week program or Annual Health Management membership you choose. If you'd like a recommendation first, the 2-minute fit quiz suggests a starting point. The quiz is educational only and not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

07

where does dr. breaux practice?

Care is delivered mostly by telemedicine for patients located in California and New York. More states will be added soon (AZ, GA, NC, TX). Annual members receive a yearly home visit.

08

Breaux Medical does not bill insurance. Fees are direct, and pricing depends on which pathway fits. The Initial Health Assessment is $500. 12-Week Programs start at $1,500. Annual Health Management is $8,000/year. HSA/FSA funds may apply.

Fees are discussed openly on the discovery call before anything begins.
